Keynote Address by Accessibility Expert Kevin McGuire

Accessibility expert Kevin McGuire, Esquire will deliver the keynote address, Conducting ADA Compliant Interviews. Mr. McGuire, who has done groundbreaking work eliminating accessibility barriers in workplaces and public spaces, will apply his innovative approach to investigative interviews. He is a graduate of Boston University and Georgetown University Law Center, has trained over 25,000 employees, spoken at over 500 conferences and to numerous television and radio audiences, and won several awards for his design work on public spaces.

AWI's Annual Conference Committee, headed by Boston attorney Julie Moore, has put together an impressive schedule of 26 speakers who are leading experts in their fields, and will be speaking on a wide variety of topics related to workplace investigations. The program begins on Thursday afternoon, October 24, with an optional half-day pre-conference seminar, Technology as a Tool for Thorough Investigations, with 2.0 hours of California MCLE and 3.25 hours of HRCI credit approved. This seminar integrates presentations on law and practice with cutting-edge hands-on workshop exercises involving groups of four participants using laptop computers. Thursday evening features an optional networking dinner. The conference program on Friday, October 25 includes continental breakfast, 5.25 hours California MCLE and 6.25 hours of HRCI credit approved, the keynote luncheon, and a networking reception in the 19th floor Horizons Lounge. The conference program on Saturday, October 26 includes continental breakfast, committee meetings, 3.25 hours of California MCLE and HRCI credit approved, and AWI's annual meeting of members.
