The sixth annual presentation of this popular, fast-paced, interactive program is designed to introduce the participants to the theory and the practical skills necessary to conduct impartial investigations of allegations of employee misconduct. Among other things, you will learn how to: ask effective questions, interview reluctant witnesses, obtain relevant evidence, assess credibility, and arrive at a legally defensible decision. You will also learn how to prepare and utilize all of the necessary documentation during the investigative process. Each attendee will receive program materials containing valuable checklists, forms, and templates that will assist them in carrying out investigations. The seminar runs from 9 am to 4 pm and includes continental breakfast and lunch. Previous sessions of this seminar have sold out, so register now to secure your place.

Marilou Mirkovich is a partner in the Cerritos office of Atkinson, Andelson, Loya, Ruud & Romo. Ms. Mirkovich represents employers in all aspects of labor relations and employment law. She focuses on defending discrimination claims in federal and state courts and handles matters pending before the EEOC, DFEH, and FEHC. In addition to her employment practice, Ms. Mirkovich serves as the firm's lead investigator on numerous public and private sector matters. Ms. Mirkovich has served as President of the Board of Directors for the Community Family Guidance Center. Ms. Mirkovich has also been on the Board of Directors for the Friends of the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts.
Dr. Robert Sniderman is an attorney with EXTTI, Inc. He has had a long career in the human resources and vocational rehabilitation fields. From 1992 to the present, he has been the president and owner of various consulting firms. For several years he was vice president of operations and human resources director for The Kalix Group. In the early 1990′s, Dr. Sniderman was an internal organizational development consultant for Carter, Hawley, Hale, Inc. For over 15 years, he has been a part-time assistant professor at National University in Los Angeles. At EXTTI, Dr. Sniderman works as an expert witness on investigations, accommodations and other human resource issues; he conducts workplace investigations and he conducts harassment and discrimination awareness training.
