Session Description

In Canada, individuals that want to conduct workplace investigations as consultants, must be licensed in accordance with their respective provincial legislation. In addition to licensing requirements, provincial legislation sets out rules and regulations, as well as a Code of Conduct that private investigators must follow.

Licensing requirements are not well-known but it is important that communication gets out there since conducting investigations without a license is not lawful.  Each province has its own set of rules and the costs will vary based on the province issuing the license. The main components of licensing is the same Canada-wide.

Learning Objectives:

  • Learn how to become eligible to obtain a private investigator’s license in your province.
  • Discuss appropriate licensing offices and procedures.

Please note that this webinar is targeted towards the Canadian investigator.
